Already have 1, why not 2!
I have had this exact same gi for a little over a year now and to my surprise my wife bought me a new gi. I inspect it a little closer and it was the exact same one! Anyhow, I really like the gi and decide to keep it. I'm pretty lazy and wash/air dried it pretty regularly. It shrunk very little, perhaps an inch on the sleeves!
It's also very comfortable, durable. The only thing really missing are wolf prints. I only have a few frays here and there on the collar but it's holding up well.
Anyhow, great gi. :) |

Everything it's supposed to be
Very light yet sturdy. Comfortable fit and seems like it will be perfect for summer. Can't speak to it holding up in competition but for training so far so good.
On size: I'm 6'0 185 and the A2 is a TAD on the small side, depending on how you like your fit. I don't mind it because that's how I *roll* but it is a lot smaller than my Atama A3. If you are any bigger than me the A2 might be a tight fit. |

Good quality/ size
I am 5'9" 165 and the A2 fits perfect after washed in cold water and dried on LOW heat, doesnt shrink as much as a traditional gi. |

Dissappointed
I got this GI for me and the womens version for my girlfriend. It's a great Gi. It's comfortable, very light, doesnt rip (Gi is almost a year old now). For the most part its great. However, the biggest issue I have with the Gi is the collar on the jacket. After washing it 3 or 4 times the collar (on both our gi's) shriveled up about 6 inches, so now the only time the jacket ever stays neatly tucked into my belt is when I am standing still. if i move at all it untucks because the collars have shruken so much. it also looks very stupid. very disappointed. i have never put my Gi in the dryer either. |

Great light gi
6'1"-215 & A3 fits perfect, If I weighed any more or was any taller I'd probably go A4. Nice & light, drys quick. Jacket fabric is very rough but I hear they soften more with each wash. |

It fits right out of the package! I can't believe it!
I'm a stocky guy. I have always had trouble buying clothes, my entire life, and I have certainly NEVER gotten a martial arts uniform that fit right out of the package before. I have had Tae Kwon Do, Judo and Jiu Jitsu Gi's, and one time even ordered a full ninja suit for a serious Halloween party! Never have I gotten a martial arts uniform that I did not have to buy a size that was way too long (like 6 inches usually) that fit my body type. I'm about 6 foot, and about 250lbs. lean (granted, I'm about 280 right now and am not "lean" currently!) This is the very first Gi I have ever gotten that fit pretty much perfectly right out of the package. Not only did the pants accomodate my VERY large quads and glutes (big butt), but they were actually PERFECT in length! The top is the first top I have ever had that was not way too snug in my biceps and shoulders! I am literally in shock...Thanks MMA outlet for GREAT ordering advice...the Vulkan was definitely the right Gi for my body type...right out of the package.
I bought an A4 per the sales guy's advice, and he was dead-on! There is no way this thing would fit a person who is 6'4". I'm barely 6 foot, and the length is pretty much perfect. This Gi fits so well that I may just have to buy a blue one and a white one to complete my jiu jitsu wardrobe (the black ROCKS!)...Thanks again!

A2 -Very Comfortable
This is the sizing for the A2 5'8"-6'1" | 170-200 | A-2
I ordered A2 after trying it on and I am 5'10-170. So I am at the bottom of the A2 chart. I tried the A1 and it fits snugger but the sleeves are a bit on the short side. The Vulkan doesn't shrink much at all. The A2 fits looser than I prefer but is light and comfortable. I prefer my Tatami Estilio for fit but the Vulkan for comfort--The Vulkan fits like pajamas. |

One of many "good" gi's
I rated the Vulkan Pro Light "average" only because it's just one of many "good" if not great gi's out there. The fit is really nice and the quality too, but what would make this a better gi would be the price. Unfortunately you're paying for the name. Don't get me wrong this is a very good gi. I only have one problem with it, the size chart sucks. I ordered an A2, and had to send it back for an A3. I'm 5'11" 165. With as many complaints about the sizing you would think somebody would do something about it. |
